Homes are generally inspected and billed based on a square footage and foundation design.  However, there are additional factors the inspector must consider which may adjust the overall service price.  While many homes are similar,  every home is unique.   For instance, Three homes may have the same floor plan and elevation, but they differ in energy sources.  Home A may utilize natural gas for the oven, range and water heater.  Home B utilizes grid electricity for the respective appliances, while home C uses a combination of both gas and electricity.  To take this a step further, another home may use full solar power, or a combination.  Considering the uniqueness of every home, the inspector must consider every detail  to ensure you're informed.
